Are you passionate about helping others and great at solving problems? We are seeking a friendly, tech-savvy professional to be the first point of contact for internal and external BI-State Development customers in need of IT support. In this engaging, customer-focused role, you’ll respond to inquiries via phone, email, and messaging platforms, helping users with software and hardware issues, managing user access, and ensuring all support operations run smoothly and securely. This position will be located out of our BI-State Development client site.
What You'll Do:
- Be the go-to resource for resolving technical issues—log, track, and triage support requests via calls, emails, and messaging
- Troubleshoot and resolve computer and software problems, escalating complex issues as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with follow-ups to ensure user satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records, oversee IT asset inventory, and handle the secure disposal of outdated equipment
- Help shape our support procedures by preparing documentation and contributing new ideas to enhance Help Desk services

What We're Looking For:
- A two-year college certificate (or equivalent experience) with a focus on IT or computer studies
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Experience diagnosing issues with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, printing, and basic networking
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy environment
The minimum salary starts at $25.33/hour with the possibility of additional compensation based on years of experience, demonstrated skills, certifications, and education. This is an hourly position and is eligible for overtime.
