Mandarin Chinese & ESL Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and organized Mandarin Chinese & ESL Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin and English, has experience teaching both, and is comfortable working with students of various ages and backgrounds. In addition to classroom instruction, this role involves contributing to curriculum development and assisting with light administrative and student-support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Mandarin Chinese and ESL classes to beginner and intermediate-level students

Develop, adapt, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with school curriculum standards

Assign and review homework, quizzes, and assessments to monitor student progress

Prepare short- and long-term curriculum for 3-month course cycles

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports language acquisition

Assist with classroom setup, attendance, scheduling, and basic administrative duties

Maintain accurate student records and provide feedback to management

Participate in teacher meetings, training sessions, and occasional school events

Help support student recruitment efforts and retention when appropriate

Qualifications

Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written)

Prior teaching experience in either ESL or Mandarin (both preferred)

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to create effective and culturally sensitive curriculum

Familiarity with communicative and immersive teaching methods

Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent teaching certification preferred (but not required)

Authorized to work in the United States
