About Hubcap:
Hubcap is a startup from the founding team of Hulu and a world-class team of folks from Disney, Meta, WarnerMedia, Amazon, and Google. Hubcap is a collaborative, social video app where you and your group can organize, share and discuss media – all in a custom space built just for you.
We’re currently in an invite-only beta, actively recruiting groups onto our platform. Groups can be anything—from fun friend groups, to casual clubs, to organized teams.
Where you come in is helping us bring more groups onto the platform, helping ensure their long-term success, and gathering feedback so we can best serve them.
This is an amazing opportunity to work closely with an experienced founding team, shape an early-stage product, and get hands-on experience with user acquisition, and product iteration.
The Role:
We’re looking for entrepreneurial, passionate, high-judgment, and driven students to leverage their network to strategically identify groups that they believe will find value in our tools. We’re not interested in quick downloads and installs. We're focused on identifying those groups of people that will find strong value in the tools we have created...and be excited to use Hubcap on a regular basis.
We need you to…
- Become a Hubcap moderator for your own group
- Identify groups and people you think would be interested in using the app
- Reach out, and show them Hubcap
- Ensure they get up and running and understand our tools
- Get feedback on what they love and, more importantly, what is challenging/what they wish they had.
This role is about you identifying the right groups of people and then successfully recruiting them onto Hubcap. And finding insights on ways that we can help groups connect and share with one another in meaningful ways
How you accomplish these goals is up to you! This is a partnership, and we want to help you lean into your strengths, creativity, and passions.
Objectives + Pay Structure:
Pay Structure
- $50: For each group you get to actively use the app by creating a Hub, inviting at least 10 people, and reaching Active Hub status for at least 2 weeks.
- $100: Hub achieves Active Hub status on Day 30
- $150: Bonus if the Hub is still active on Day 60
- $200: Bonus if the Hub is still active on Day 90
*Capped at 10 Hubs
What defines an “Active Hub”
- ~10 active users / week
- 7 posts / week
Definitions
- Active User: Someone who opens the app and performs an action at least once per week (e.g., reacts, comments, chats, or posts)
- Post: An uploaded video or link (does not include chat messages or comments)
