Our Interiors Division is looking for a year-round Finance Intern for its location in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Finance Intern is responsible for aiding the Finance Department in completion of specific assigned tasks and projects. Through successful completion of these tasks and projects the Intern will obtain experience and knowledge within their field of educational pursuit within the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and analyze financial data, considering company's goals and financial standards as Actuals/Forecast/Budget
- Follow at division level the blocking controls of NAO during month-end closing, forecast, and SP/budget cycles in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Tool
- Assist in development of the month-end closing process in Faurecia Core System (SAP) for a profit center
- Play active role in Cash reporting/forecasting
- Play active role in Central month-end closing and weekly projections
- Lead multiple activities related to month end reporting to end users such as month end data, accruals, Actual P (in MAGRITTE), A/R over dues, POD, Plant Rankings, and variance comments etc
- Ensure all reporting is consistent with Hyperion (HFM)/MAGRITTE consolidation tool
- Support other functions (CATs Engineering) with analysis as necessary
- Acquire full knowledge in NPP activities such as the PO´s and VIM workflows in FCS (SAP)
- Execute reports and compile data to assist in audit requirements
- Responsible for Engineering team CATS hours’ time tracking: Create and maintain employee records, meet with HR monthly to validate employee data
- Investigate and resolve delinquent unreported hours
- Month End make sure all hours accounted for; Prepare reporting for global review (AAP, NAO, billability, serial support)
- Assist with Contract Labor cost management: Validate hours worked on timesheets along with bill rate v Invoices received; Track hours billed v not billed for accruals
- Maintain Program Resource tracking for meetings with Engineering management on HC planning/forecasting
- Concur Travel Expense Processing; reallocate expenses and work with engineers when information is incomplete
- Facilitate new Purchase Order processing; PO/POR Follow-up; Work with Purchasing to clean up old POs (cancel, update, etc.)
- Manage monthly assessment calculations
- Engineering team Training reporting
- Engineering Hardware Inventory – Track by employee and help facilitate purchases
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site

Education / Experience:
- Working towards Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum GPA 2.8
