Job Description:
Wonderful Foundations is launching a nationwide series of in-school educational FieldTrips that connect students to real-world career pathways, starting with the influencer and creative industries. These immersive workshops combine media, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and mentorship—and we need a sharp, energetic Facilitator to help bring them to life.
This is a part-time, seasonal, paid travel role—perfect for substitute teachers, teaching creative artists, recent college grads, or anyone with youth experience who is passionate about education that goes beyond the classroom.
What You'll Do:
- Lead engaging, hands-on 2-4 hour workshops for grades 6–8 students at charter schools
- Introduce students to real opportunities in content creation, social media, and digital creativity
- Manage all on-site, including setup and materials
- Support livestream content delivery and in-person facilitation
- Represent Wonderful Foundations and ensure a joyful, inspiring experience
- Take photos/video and complete brief event reports
- Coordinate with program staff for smooth travel and scheduling
Travel Schedule:
- Fall: September–December (Southeast: NC, FL)
- Spring: February–May (Southwest: AZ, CA + others)
- ~20-25 total travel days (all travel fully covered)
You Might Be:
- A substitute teacher, youth educator, or teaching artist
- A recent college graduate in education, psychology, communications, or media
- A camp counselor or program leader with strong leadership and facilitation skills
- Someone with a big presence, calm energy, and a love for working with kids
Requirements:
- Experience working with youth (education, nonprofit, camp, enrichment)
- Positive, organized, flexible, and confident leading a room
- Willing and able to travel
- Valid driver’s license + background check clearance
Bonus if you:
- Speak Spanish or another language
- Have experience in media, digital content, or social storytelling
- Live near a major airport
Compensation:
- $300/day for FieldTrip day
-$200/day for any travel days
- Estimated total: $6,000-7,500
- All travel/lodging/transportation covered + per diem
