Project Manager - Full Time
The Project Manager oversees construction of individual homes to ensure quality work, budgets & schedules, to the customer’s satisfaction. He / She takes full responsibility to produce homes in an efficient manner through effective management of Trade Partners and suppliers. Under the direction of the Project Manager, Local Construction Manager or GM, the Project Manager directs Trade Partners, material suppliers, inspectors, etc. on all homes under his/her direction. He/she is the primary representative of the company on construction matters to customers. He/she orchestrates the work and coordinates the various complex aspects of the construction process and trains trade partners in the performance of their work.

10. Maintains an updates record of all code interpretations and local requirements for each jurisdiction in which he/she works.
11. Knows and understands the performance criteria and construction standards of each of the Trade Partner trades.
12. Is knowledgeable of safety practices and procedures and conducts an effective overall safety program on the job site.
13. Understands basic surveying principles and practices.
14. Understands various scheduling theories and methods.
15. Maintains good current understanding of accounting and other business practices.
16. Solves problems within his/her authority.
17. Delegates responsibilities to subordinates and is responsible for their performance.
18. Make quick, accurate decisions when necessary and takes responsibility for 2 of 4 decisions.
19. Is responsible reviewing business forms, check lists and reports which aid in controlling those aspects of the construction process which fall under his/her responsibility.
20. Is familiar and uses established supervisory and motivational techniques to motivate all employees, suppliers and trade partners to peak performance in quantity as well as quality.
21. Is computer literate and knows how to navigate through AHP Intranet, operate word processing, spread sheets, database, and applicable scheduling programs. 22. Completes daily Intranet updates, job notes and status for all jobs from site meeting through warranty.
23. Works with Project Manager, Location Construction Manager or General Manger to establish pricing for custom options.
24. Is directly involved and keeps abreast of the latest trends of the construction industry through study of Trade publications, Blogs, trade networking websites, talking with material suppliers, trade partners, etc.
25. Understands the need for uniformity in construction methods between offices and is supportive of company policies and construction standards. Makes suggestions for improvements within the system.
26. Understands and approves the basic materials and methods used by Trade Partners and assures compliance with THP construction standards.
27. Attends seminars and training sessions on production related subjects.
28. Attends corporate training meetings.
29. Plans, organizes and often conducts ongoing training sessions for construction personnel and with others related to the trade.
