Marketing Intern

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Duration: August-April  | Part-time (10 hours/week)

Compensation: $10 per hour

She Built This City empowers women and youth with the skills needed to enter trades and construction, aiming to change the face of the industry. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Summer Marketing Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world marketing strategies and initiatives under the guidance of our Marketing & Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the team on marketing strategies that enhance our program initiatives.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of program initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to support ongoing projects.
  • Support our summer cohort graduation and assist in person at this event.
  • Support our quarterly fundraising campaign, which may include event planning and execution.
  • Attend staff development meetings for continued learning opportunities

Job Simulation Task:

As part of your application, please submit a brief social media campaign designed to increase awareness and participation in one of our program initiatives. Your proposal should include:

  • Campaign title and objective.
  • Chosen social media platforms and posting frequency.
  • Drafts for at least two original social media posts
  • Engagement strategies and metrics for success

Key Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in studies for a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to participate in in-person events.
