Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Summer Marketing Intern to join our Marketing & Communications team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world marketing strategies and initiatives under the guidance of our Marketing & Communications Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns.
- Collaborate with the team on marketing strategies that enhance our program initiatives.
- Participate in the planning and execution of program initiatives.
- Conduct market research to support ongoing projects.
- Support our summer cohort graduation and assist in person at this event.
- Support our quarterly fundraising campaign, which may include event planning and execution.
- Attend staff development meetings for continued learning opportunities
Job Simulation Task:
As part of your application, please submit a brief social media campaign designed to increase awareness and participation in one of our program initiatives. Your proposal should include:
- Campaign title and objective.
- Chosen social media platforms and posting frequency.
- Drafts for at least two original social media posts
- Engagement strategies and metrics for success
Key Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in studies for a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to participate in in-person events.
