Client Account Representative

Client Account Representative

Computer Packages Inc., a global business specializing in Intellectual Property management for over 55 years, is seeking a Customer Account Rep. to work at our headquarter office near Washington DC.  

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to potential clients via phone, email, and other channels to generate interest in our products and services.
  • Qualify prospects through thoughtful conversation—understanding their needs, fit, and potential as a client.
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential leads based on company profile, engagement level, and sales-readiness (without relying on automated lead scoring).
  • Schedule product demos or discovery meetings for senior sales reps or product specialists.
  • Follow up on inbound inquiries, marketing campaign leads, and referrals in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach efforts, conversations, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with the outside sales and marketing teams to ensure a consistent and informed handoff of qualified leads.
  • Track activity and performance metrics (e.g., outreach volume, meetings booked) and consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Stay informed about our products, value propositions, and client success stories to confidently speak to potential customers and tailor outreach.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams regarding lead quality, prospect objections, and common questions.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills—able to engage prospects in meaningful, consultative conversations.
  • Critical thinking and judgment—capable of distinguishing between high-value and low-priority leads without relying on automated tools.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong desire to meet and exceed outreach and conversion goals.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage follow-ups and multiple conversations without dropping the ball.
  • Comfortable using CRM software to track activity and update prospect records.
  • Positive, professional attitude and the ability to stay persistent without being pushy.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required if experience and performance demonstrate capability.
