Human Resource Intern
The City of Centerville has an exciting opportunity for a Fall Intern position in the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Intern will take part in various hands-on projects in areas such as recruitment, performance management and employee development. Responsible students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field should apply. The intern will work a flexible schedule (Minimum 15 hours a week).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR team with day-to-day operations
- Audit and modernize personnel files
- Assist with various HR calls and emails
- Conduct workplace policy research and development
- Update and edit job descriptions
- Assist with recruiting activities
- Work on special projects as needed
- Uphold the City’s mission, vision, and values
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a four-year program with a focus in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
- Highly organized with good time management skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
