Fall Human Resource Intern

Human Resource Intern  

The City of Centerville has an exciting opportunity for a Fall Intern position in the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources  Intern will take part in various hands-on projects in areas such as recruitment, performance management and employee development. Responsible students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field should apply. The intern will work a flexible schedule (Minimum 15 hours a week).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR team with day-to-day operations
  • Audit and modernize personnel files
  • Assist with various HR calls and emails
  • Conduct workplace policy research and development
  • Update and edit job descriptions
  • Assist with recruiting activities
  • Work on special projects as needed
  • Uphold the City’s mission, vision, and values

Preferred Qualifications:                                                                                          

  • Enrolled in a four-year program with a focus in Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
