The New England Center for Children (NECC) has an amazing Teacher Fellowship opportunity available in K-12 public school classrooms while completing coursework towards a free Master’s degree in Education. This fellowship will provide invaluable field experience in special education.
Extensive professional development training will be provided!
Teaching Fellows work directly with students in various settings within the public school classroom and help them acquire skills to participate successfully throughout their school day.
Responsibilities:
- Direct instruction for children with autism in both sub-separate and inclusion classrooms
- Case management responsibilities may include:
- Data summary
- Generating lesson materials
- Modifying curriculum

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with a 3.0 GPA preferred
- Desire to work with children or young adults in a special education setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to carry out written and verbal instructions
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Successful completion of NECC required training, including CALM safety training to teach de-escalation strategies and procedures to manage challenging behavior in the safest way possible.
