SPS Consulting is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented IT Auditor to join our team as a contractor supporting the IT Assurance team at KPMG. Responsibilities
Assist in evaluating IT systems, infrastructure, and controls in accordance with federal audit standards.
Participate in entrance/exit conferences and present audit findings and risk assessments.
Conduct system walk-throughs and document IT control environments and business processes.
Perform testing on general and application controls and assess design and operational effectiveness.
Work with audit teams to review security policies, system authorizations, and compliance documentation.
Apply industry frameworks such as FISCAM, FISMA, SOX 404, and NIST 800-series standards.
Provide support in drafting technical reports, summaries, and remediation recommendations.
Help analyze IT risk across multiple systems and networks supporting a federal agency.

Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required (due to federal contract requirements).
Bachelor’s degree or current senior pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
1+ year of academic, internship, or work experience in IT auditing, IT compliance, or cybersecurity.
Familiarity with federal audit standards (FISMA, FISCAM, NIST 800-53/800-171).
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Strong interest in federal technology, security compliance, or audit frameworks.
Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with diverse teams.
