Data Engineering Intern (Fall 2025)

Job Summary: The intern will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software infrastructure including databases, web servers, and other processing systems. They will be expected to identify, design, and implement process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability. Interns will also be expected to develop and manage the hardware necessary for recording and networking data.

Duties & Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Interns will work on several customer-facing IoT projects and several internal data-driven projects. Most projects require full-stack development and will be independently driven. Successful interns need to be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

  • Co-ops should have a cursory knowledge of C, C++, SQL, PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS and should be familiar with Git and Linux systems.
  • Interns primarily focus on the development and management of the hardware necessary for recording and networking data. They will be expected to work in programming languages like C++ and Python. They will also be involved in circuit design, circuit board assembly, and combustion hardware data acquisition.

Required Experience:

Intern should have a cursory knowledge of C, SQL, PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS and should be familiar with Git and Linux systems.
