This position serves as a Salesforce Developer Specialist. 

In this role, you will perform professional work of an intermediate level of difficulty in Salesforce System Development; support business and operational enhancements for the Salesforce unit and serve as a project team member performing assigned work of an intermediate level. 

In addition, you will prepare and maintain written documentation for assigned tasks and keep abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Under general supervision, serves as a Salesforce Developer Specialist for the Department of Innovation and Technology performing professional work of an intermediate level of difficulty in Salesforce System Development.
  • Supports business and operational enhancements for the Salesforce unit.
  • Serves as a project team member performing assigned work of an intermediate level.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation for assigned tasks.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
  • Requires one (1) year of related Information Technology experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of professional experience in supporting, maintaining, and assisting in the development of the Salesforce platform ensuring optimal system performance, functionality, and user efficiency.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, debugging, and resolving technical issues within Salesforce applications ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Working knowledge of software engineering tools including HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Apex, Eclipse, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning web components, Visualforce, web services and integration (SOAP/REST API and Apex Web Services), Version Control (i.e. git), and SF-DX, to design, develop, and optimize scalable solutions.
  • Working knowledge of data management, data migration, and data integration ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient data handling across systems.
  • Elementary understanding of agile System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban.
  • Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose system issues and coordinate efforts to resolve.
