After School Floor Hockey Coach

Location: Multiple Bay Area Locations (East Bay, South Bay, Peninsula) 

Salary: $30–$40/hour

Type: Part-time

Schedule: 

• Classes are 1 - 1.5 hour length.
• Start times for classes can vary between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., depending on the school.
• Flexible schedule, work two or more days per week from Monday through Friday.

We provide after school hockey classes for Grades K-3 or 5 all around the Bay Area in elementary schools. Currently searching for coaches and assistant coaches to work two or more days per week (between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.) from Monday to Friday during the school year. 

Bonus: We are especially seeking coaches who can teach more than one sport — including Tennis Dance, Basketball, Pickleball, Soccer, Yoga, and PE Teacher/Olympic Hopes.

What You’ll Do:

 

• Manage a class of 8 - 10 students (ages 5-10).
• Teach the hockey class using provided lesson plans.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to learn more about the program.
• Transport hockey equipment to and from class. Setup the hockey equipment.
• Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for class.
• Interact/provide feedback to parents and interact with school office staff when needed.

Requirements:

 

• 19+ years old with reliable transportation around the Bay Area
• Must enjoy working with kids and manage a class in a professional manner.
• Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, professional and has an enthusiastic approach.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must carry a resilient, positive attitude.
• Must be able to work independently and within a small team.
• Must have its own reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Willing to do a Live Scan background check prior to working.
