Unified Communications Technician II

Position Overview

Responsible for the engineering, repairs, moves, adds and changes, and installations of medium to large projects. Provides support in the proactive and preventative maintenance on unified communication systems, related applications, and data network. Aids in the design of systems integration and monitors systems performance ensuring optimum operations. Participates in the lifecycle of unified communication systems and related applications.

Education

Job Description:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

• Associate's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Typical Experience

• 1 year of recent relevant experience.
• Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity Voicemail preferred

Skills And Knowledge

• Working knowledge of multi-unified communication and/or telecommunication platforms.
• Working knowledge of system specific connectivity from desktop device to call control device.
• Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
• Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, Information Services (IS) team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.
• Working knowledge of Automated Call Distributor (ACD).
• Intermediate knowledge of cabling standards and documentation.
• Working knowledge of overhead paging system.
• Working knowledge of Operator Console.

Pay Range is $31.43 to $45.58 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
