Marketing and Event Coordination Intern  

Position Overview  

The Marketing Event Coordination Intern will support project operations through media collection, editing, creating marketing materials for events and disseminating it in an effective and timely manner. This position will be integral in assuring the success of the scheduled events and proper display of the work of the Foundation in the state of Michigan. Reports  to the Project Director.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Coordinate with Project Manager and appropriate vendor to organize and promote community outreach events as described in the workplan.  

• Create and maintain mapping system for media collection, editing, and dissemination.

• Traveling to attend in person events with appropriate equipment to effectively capture video, photos, and record interviews.

• Compile and analyze post-event media to promote engagement and  awareness 

• Assist in identifying and reaching out to new communities recommended after  meetings 

• Maintain project social media and website inquiries 

Required Qualifications  

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of relevant degree program  (Marketing, Communications, Or a Sustainability Related Field) 

• Proficiency in photo and video editing software

• Strong organizational and time management skills 

• Experience with web design and social media management

• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience with community-based participatory research 

• Knowledge of environmental and health indicators 

• Experience with recording and editing vlogs with proven engagement online

• Bilingual capabilities for diverse community engagement
