Game Master
Job Overview:
Badwolf Adventure Studios is proud to work with a wide network of after-school and community programs throughout the Twin Cities Metro. These programs range in length from single “one-shot” D&D Adventures to ongoing campaigns that run the length of a full school-year. Our Game Masters take kids of all ages on adventures guided by their imagination, while teaching critical thinking, team-work, roleplay, and puzzle-solving skills.
Creativity is empowered, and Game Masters are counted on to provide flexible game-play that allows for each student's needs are met. Game Masters are part of a creative collaborative, and are given access to a massive toolbox to draw on to provide game-play to their players.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Guide students through age-appropriate fantasy adventures where they work as a team to problem solve and communicate as part of a variety of school and community programs.
- Create a welcoming place for kids to explore, collaborate, and have fun.
- Develop connections and learn about students’ interest so they can tailor the story to fit individuals.
- Assist with various on-site activities as needed.
- Assist with off-site marketing opportunities and events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with 5th Edition game-play and tabletop role-playing games, including previous game master experience.
- Enjoy working with youth, and know how to adjust game-play to meet youth needs
- Creative and inventive, with the ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective time management skills with a proven ability to stay on schedule.
- Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean work environment.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
Compensation: $20 per hour
