Position Title: Fundraising Intern
Department: Operations Department
Reports To: Operations Chair
Purpose of the Role:
The Fundraising Intern at Unity Bands plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to assist healthcare workers. This intern will be tasked with organizing fundraising campaigns and finding donors which will greatly support the Air Unity initiative to provide health care heroes with comfortable shoes! Volunteers contribute their time and skills across various departments, helping with activities such as event planning, community outreach, administrative support, and more. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while gaining experience in non-profit operations.
Responsibilities:

General Support:
- Assist with day-to-day tasks within the assigned department, which may include outreach, event planning, marketing, or administrative duties.
- Participate in volunteer activities such as preparing materials, attending events, and supporting Unity Bands’ initiatives to promote healthcare worker well-being.

Outreach & Event Participation:
- Help organize and lead fundraising events to raise funds for Unity Bands mission
- Serve as a representative of Unity Bands at community events, engaging with the public and helping promote the organization’s mission.
- Assist with communication efforts, including email campaigns, social media content creation, and community engagement.
- Spearhead outreach activities to recruit new donors or partners in support of Unity Bands' goals.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with other volunteers, team members, and department leaders to support Unity Bands' projects and goals.
- Participate in volunteer meetings and training sessions to stay informed about the organization's needs and upcoming events.
Qualifications
- Strong research, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Interest in nonprofit operations.
- Competent in writing professional emails and press releases.
- Passionate about supporting healthcare workers.
- Willingness to contribute time and energy to help Unity Bands fulfill its mission.
- Experience in event planning is encouraged but not required

Time Commitment:
Interns are expected to contribute approximately 1-10 hours per week, depending on their availability and the needs of the organization. Flexibility is offered to accommodate different schedules.
