What you will do…
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Create GL entries
- Assist in preparing financial tax audit schedules and documentation
- Play a key role in month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies for policy and procedure manual
- Payroll management and processing, including monthly payroll journal entries.
- Client communication as required to resolve client needs and concerns
- Various internal accounting processes to support our success (i.e. process client agreements, reconcile revenue between internal software to accounting software, etc.)
What you will bring…
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA candidate preferred
- 3+ years as a staff accountant
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Have full understanding of financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including filters, lookups, and pivot tables
- A keen eye for accuracy, efficiency, and have an attention to detail
- Ability to work in the Dallas office as this is not a remote position
