DESCRIPTION
DEFINITION: Under close supervision and monitoring in a state or local government agency, performs analysis, maintenance, programming and support work on modules of existing systems; may develop web applications or websites; does other related work.
SPECIAL NOTE: This position is for a Full Stack .Net Developer.
REQUIREMENTS
NOTE: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
Five (5) years of professional experience in programming, systems programming or computer analysis.
OR
Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
OR
Possession of a master's degree in an information technology field.
NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.
SPECIAL NOTE: The preferred candidate will have the following:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack business web applications using Microsoft .NET Core, including C#, Angular, Web API, Entity Framework, and SQL Server, is required.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2019 or later, SQL Server Management Studio, and Power BI for reporting is desired.
- A solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, Python, Node.js, and shell scripting is required.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server T-SQL development, including writing queries, stored procedures and triggers is expected.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub for version control and Jira for sprint management is required.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies is highly desirable.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
