Equity Research Associate

Responsibilities & Opportunities:

  • Conduct deep, fundamental, bottom-up research on high-quality, dividend-paying public equities.
  • Support one or more sector research teams. Sector teams are led by portfolio managers who are members of Bahl & Gaynor’s Investment Committee.  PMs will provide mentorship, career development, and direction to rising RAs, enabling Research Associates to support all functions of the research team’s efforts, from managing existing investments to generating new, innovative ideas.
  • Assist critical portfolio management functions of the Bahl & Gaynor Investment Committee.
  • Engage in the Bahl & Gaynor Investment Committee process and meetings as a valued member of the team.
  • Develop and implement various portfolio analytics, including quantitative risk, income, attribution, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Support institutional client and business development functions, including quarterly reporting and the compilation of pitchbooks, marketing materials, and due diligence questionnaires.
  • Support firm trading functions, including a rotation with direct responsibility for several key aspects of the equity trading process.

Detail & Qualifications:

  • 3-year program.
  • Comprehensive multi-week on-boarding/training utilizing both internal and external resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree candidates with graduation targeted for Spring 2025.
  • Major or significant coursework in Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Bloomberg and/or FactSet experience preferred.
  • Start date & Location: August 2026, Cincinnati, OH.
