Granite Capital Group (GCG) is a twenty-two-year-old investment firm specializing in commercial real estate services for accredited investors. Our offerings include sponsored investments, advisory services, structuring and executing 1031 exchanges, asset management, real estate portfolio analysis, and consulting.
GCG focuses on opportunistic real estate investments in the Western U.S., including value-add repositioning, ground-up development, and asset management of multifamily, industrial, and retail assets. Our investor base consists of high-net-worth families, accredited individuals, and select institutional partners—over 250 investors, the majority of whom are repeat partners in our projects.
Position Overview
The position is a high-impact, cross-functional role that supports capital raising, investor communications, internal workflows, and marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is motivated by helping a small team operate at scale. You will be the glue that holds together investor relations, investments, operations, marketing, and executive support.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations
- Prepare investment materials, presentations, and quarterly/annual reports for investors and stakeholders.
- Draft, edit, and finalize investor communications including capital call letters, distribution notices, quarterly updates, investment summaries, and ad hoc investor memos, ensuring alignment with firm messaging and compliance standards.
- Track investor commitments, capital calls, distributions, and returns; generate and QA investor-level reporting.
- Collaborate with legal and accounting teams to ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in fundraising processes by preparing data rooms, responding to diligence requests, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Analyze investor trends and feedback to inform engagement strategies and reporting improvements.
- Coordinate investor meetings, conference calls, and annual meetings via CRM/investor portal software (e.g., Juniper Square, IMS).
- Maintain investor databases and records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Serve as the first point of contact for investor inquiries; ensure timely and accurate responses.
- Manage investor communication processes including mailing list segmentation, personalized updates, and special projects.
- Foster strong relationships with investors to support satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
- Facilitate holiday gifts for investors and team members.
Operations & Executive Support
- Act as the central liaison between acquisitions, asset management, accounting, investor relations, and executive leadership.
- Manage executive calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate internal/external meetings.
- Coordinate travel schedules and manage logistics for investor and team events.
- Handle mailing, scanning, and coordination of investor tax documents and other deliverables.
- Lead general remote office management tasks, including managing company vendors (e.g., IT consultant).
- Plan and execute office events, quarterly offsites, team-building activities, and the annual holiday party—including team gifting.
- Own and optimize usage of company software tools (e.g., Wrike, Zoom, Google Workspace).
- Conduct periodic reviews of operational technology and recommend process or system improvements.
- Support project tracking, SOP development, and ensure organizational efficiency across teams.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in the creation of investor-facing and firm-wide marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, pitch decks, and digital content.
- Maintain and update the company website, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
- Manage the company’s LinkedIn presence: create posts, share announcements, and engage with the broader real estate and investor community.
- Coordinate public relations efforts through third-party vendors, press releases, and branded events.
- Support the visual documentation of firm activities and properties by managing asset photography, videography, and content curation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field with professional experience in Real Estate, Finance or Wealth Management.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and quick to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong writing, formatting, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
