Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced or aspiring SEO Specialist to help audit, optimize, and enhance our web presence. From fixing broken links and boosting page rankings to identifying keywords and improving site health, you’ll play a critical role in helping cancer patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals find our life-changing resources.
You'll collaborate closely with our content, tech, and marketing teams to implement SEO strategies that drive traffic and deepen engagement.
What You’ll Do
Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit of SurvivingBreastCancer.org
Identify and fix broken or outdated internal/external links
Research and implement high-impact keywords across blog posts, landing pages, and program descriptions
Optimize metadata, image alt text, and headings for SEO
Improve page speed and overall site health (with dev support if needed)
Monitor site performance via Google Search Console, Analytics, and other tools
Recommend and implement content updates to align with search trends
Support SEO strategies for upcoming campaigns and events
What You Bring
Proven experience or education in SEO, content marketing, or digital strategy
Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog)
Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics
Strong understanding of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO best practices
Attention to detail and a love of solving technical puzzles
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical teammates
A passion for health equity, digital advocacy, or nonprofit missions
Nice-to-Have (but not required)
Familiarity with WordPress or Webflow CMS
Experience in healthcare, wellness, or nonprofit SEO strategy
Knowledge of schema markup or structured data
Understanding of accessibility standards in web content
