Accounting Internship

This internship is for students interested in:

  • Public Company Financial Reporting
  • Accounting and Finance Operations
  • Asset and Liability Management

Overview of Position:

  • An internship with the Finance Department will provide experience and involvement with  public company financial reporting, SEC filings, and regulatory filings. In addition, an intern will become familiar with accounting and finance operations through projects that support the mission of the department, including projects that will assist with strategic decision making, balance sheet management, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Active role in the Financial Reporting process including analytical reviews
  • Develop and complete a project which improves processes or creates efficiencies
  • Work directly with the CFO, Controller, and Finance team to provide support for ongoing initiatives and goals
  • Assist will modeling, forecasting, and financial planning

Job Requirements: 

  • A Junior currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Principles of Accounting course completion preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Interpersonal Skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Discretion when handling sensitive financial information
  • Strong Research and  Analytical Skills
