Audit Associate

Position Summary: KHA Accountants, PLLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assurance Associate to join our growing assurance team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to learn and grow within a collaborative and fast-paced public accounting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Core competency is the demonstrated ability to carry out the primary responsibilities of the job, which is reflected in the essential duties of the job description. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Gather data from a variety of sources.
  • Synthesize and analyze data and provide accurate reports.
  • Identify issues & apply accounting principles.
  • Prepare clear, concise & neat work papers with definitive conclusions as well as meaningful, well-written recommendations for inclusion in client correspondence.
  • Research technical issues and participate in technical discussions relating to client assignments.
  • Use relevant technology.
  • Complete tasks within communicated timeframes.
  • Understand performance expectations and plans, organizes and works efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Adhere to laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Adhere to data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Adhere to KHA’s policies and procedures, and core values. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

KHA Compliance Responsibilities: Understands and adheres to the policies and procedure compliance standards as set forth by KHA Accountants, PLLC. Ensure that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting or finance or other equivalent experience.
  • Audit internship or experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective analytical & problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment Conditions:

  • Office environment with standard hours and occasional overtime during busy seasons.
  • May involve travel to local or regional clients.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
