Project Coordinator- Construction
Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This position involves coordinating various project activities, managing documentation, and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project managers and field teams in day-to-day coordination and project execution.
- Maintain and track project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and drawings.
- Create and update project logs (RFI, submittal, drawing, change order, etc.) regularly.
- Manage and organize digital project files within Procore.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
- Assist with permitting, compliance documentation, and safety tracking.
- Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely receipt of deliverables.
- Collaborate with accounting and Project team to track billing, subcontractor pay apps, lien waivers, and supporting documents.
- Help prepare closeout documents and ensure all project files are complete and properly archived.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in commercial construction or similar industry preferred.
- Strong familiarity with construction documents, terminology, and workflows.
- Skills:
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
