Transportation Financial Specialist Senior - Kanawha County
The Transportation Financial Specialist Senior performs advanced accounting support duties. This position will report to the P-Card/Travel Section of the Finance Division. The incumbent is responsible for posting complex journal entries that require the use of specialized accounting procedures, review and approve financial documents in wvOASIS, assisting the supervisor in preparing agency budgets, and examining records to assure adherence to accounting laws and regulations. Performs related work as required.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Substitution: Experience as described below may substitute for the required training/education through an established formula.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business experience.
- Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience through an established formula.
- Promotional Only: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Transportation Financial Specialist 2.
