About Us

Senda Primera is a tutoring and mentorship service founded by a first-generation college graduate and current MBA student. We support underrepresented, bilingual, and first-gen students with affordable, culturally aware academic help. Our goal is to build a tutoring agency that uplifts communities through mentorship, education, and access.

Who We’re Hiring

We are looking for academic tutors who are confident teaching Math, English, and/or Science, and who are also open to helping us build high-quality educational content. This is an opportunity for future educators, counselors, and content creators who want flexibility, impact, and growth.

Role Overview

As a Tutor ($20/hour):

Teach 1-on-1 or small group online sessions

Work with students from K–12 through college

Submit a short session note after each meeting

Focus on clarity, confidence, and culturally aware teaching

As a Content Creator (paid per deliverable):

Record short educational videos using our house format — $20 per finished video

Write simple lesson plans or learning modules — $10 per completed module

We handle the editing; you retain credit but we retain content rights

Bonuses available based on performance (views, engagement, etc.)

Tutors who also contribute content have the opportunity to shape future learning tools and build a deeper connection with students.

Qualifications

Strong academic background in Math, English, and/or Science

Experience or comfort working with kids, teens, and young adults

Access to reliable internet and Zoom or similar platforms

Graduate students or aspiring educators encouraged to apply

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required

Comfort being on camera is ideal, but not required

Compensation and Flexibility

$20/hour for tutoring

$20 per approved video module

$10 per completed lesson plan or blog-style educational content

Flexible schedule – set your own hours

Bonus opportunities for high-performing content
