Hours Monday-Thursday 8:30-3:00 half day Wednesday 8:30-1:00

Pay Rate: $15-$30 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications

School Year: August 2025- May 2026

Location: Near 101 and Guadalupe

Fluent in Spanish preferred

Job Description:

I have been running my own microschool for three years and I am expanding this year!  I will need a teacher to run a k-2 class of about 5-8 students.  We have a 3 ½ day school week.  School day will be 9-3 Monday-Tuesday-Thursday and 9-1 Wednesday.   Our school is hands on,  project based and fun, with a strong focus on play while still maintaining strong academic standards.  I follow Arizona State Standards of education and use a wide variety of curriculum to meet each student where he or she is at and build on their individual skill-sets.  Planning and collaboration will be a part of preparing for lessons and units taught.  We provide a very holistic approach to education.  We focus on social/emotional skills, empathy, learning through play, academic success and love of learning in all aspects of life.   

 Responsibilities include providing a safe and supportive place to learn and grow, planning and delivering academic lessons and supporting emotional and social growth.   

Important skills necessary are: ability to multitask, have patience with student learning, effectively delivering lessons, encouraging free play, supporting students with problem solving, teaching boundaries, teaching social and emotional skills and maintaining efficient classroom management.
