Senior Accountant- Direct Investments

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and assist with resolutions.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting records, including fixed assets and accruals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles (GAAP), tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related issues and provide financial insights as needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Sage, or similar) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred previous experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • CPA or working toward certification is a plus.
