LINK Instructor - Graduate Assistant Position

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
 
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
 
Primary Responsibilities
 The GTA position for the LINK Program works directly in alignment with the program’s mission and purpose to support first-year student success both inside and outside the classroom. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, being an Instructor of Record for a maximum of four LINK 101 sections each Fall semester, Instructor of Record for a minimum of one LINK 101 section each Spring semester, providing timely and helpful feedback on student work, maintaining regular office hours, facilitating high level topical discussions, mentoring and connecting students to appropriate resources on campus, working closely with paired PLs to bolster student engagement in on-campus events, engaging in programmatic assessment, development of curriculum, implementation of community workshops, active participation in conducting research to continue strengthening the LINK Program, and other duties as assigned during the Spring semester of the contract. This GTA position reports to the LINK Program Director who provides ongoing professional and pedagogical development training.
