The City of Upland is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented GIS Specialist to support City departments by creating, maintaining, and analyzing geographic and spatial data. This role plays a key part in producing maps, CADD drawings, and graphic materials to support planning, public works, and infrastructure projects.

 

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

Education and Experience:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

 Education:

  • Equivalent to an associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, geography, drafting, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience creating maps and performing spatial analysis using GIS software and/or database management technical support.

Licenses/Certificates/and Special Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.

Salary: 

  • The annual salary for this position is $61,346.28 - $78,295.13
