Job Summary
Labtech Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Laboratory Assistant to support our quality control team for the month of August 2025. The role involves performing routine laboratory tests, including basic titrations, specific gravity testing, pH testing, and generating Certificates of Analysis (CoA). This position is ideal for an individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety in a laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control Testing: Conduct routine quality control tests to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Basic Titrations: Perform titrations to determine the concentration of solutions accurately.
- Specific Gravity Testing: Measure specific gravity of samples using appropriate laboratory equipment.
- pH Testing: Conduct pH tests on samples to verify compliance with required specifications.
- Certificate of Analysis (CoA) Generation: Prepare accurate and detailed Certificates of Analysis based on test results.
- Data Recording: Document test results and observations in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Compliance: Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the quality control team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous laboratory experience or coursework in basic laboratory techniques (titrations, specific gravity, pH testing) is an asset but not mandatory.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording data.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills for generating reports and Certificates of Analysis.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle laboratory materials safely.
Work Environment
- The role involves working in a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30PM.
