Compensation: $15.00 to $17.00 hourly, depending on experience

The New Mexico Lottery seeks a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our Advertising and Marketing team! Role Summary:
This internship offers an exceptional opportunity to develop hands-on experience across the entire spectrum of graphic design, including both digital and print media.
As the New Mexico Lottery creates all of its media in-house, you’ll have the chance to work on various projects, from social media graphics and animated content to event signage and print materials. This role is perfect for someone eager to gain exposure to every facet of design within a dynamic and supportive team environment, building a robust portfolio along the way! You'll collaborate with team members on various design tasks, from creating social media assets to helping with special events.
Responsibilities:
Graphic Design (80%):
- Create graphics for print and digital formats, including posters, signage, social media graphics, and advertisements.
- Print, assemble, and install Lottery signage at various retail locations.
- Design and update marketing materials, working closely with the team to maintain brand consistency.
- Assist with video and animated content production.
Event & Promotion Support (15%):
- Help with setup and teardown for promotional events, manage event materials, and assist with mascot duties.
- Package and ship prizes for Lottery promotional events.
Additional Responsibilities (5%):
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed to support the team.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Current enrollment in a college-level graphic design or marketing program.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and animation software is a plus.

Other Skills:
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, as well as large-format printers and cutting instruments, for signage setup.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a creative, team-oriented approach.
Requirements:
- Current college-level graphic design or marketing program enrollment, preferably in the junior or senior year.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Some proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required; knowledge of Adobe Premiere and animation software is a plus.
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Steady hand and cutting skills required.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation for potential travel to retail locations for signage setup and event support.
