Secondary Mathematics Teacher
#Permanent, full-time position.

Generic hiring procedure applies, including background check: Teach students secondary-grade Mathematics subjects in a public-school district setting; Prepare course objectives and study outlines following the curriculum guidelines and requirements; Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned; Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies; Utilize various teaching methods, such as lecture and demonstration; Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences; Use various education materials to supplement lecture and presentation; Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing; Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help; Assign lessons and correct homework; Administer tests to evaluate students’ progress and record results; Keep attendance records; Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on committees as required.
#Minimum requirements:
(a) Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, Mathematics Education, General
Mathematics, or related fields;
(b) A Texas state teaching certificate/permit with required endorsement for
Mathematics; and
(c) Demonstrate the teaching area competence [e.g. 1-year of college coursework; US
standardized testing; or 3 years work exp. etc.]
#Starts at $48,635/year, plus the standard benefits.
