Transportation District/Division Supply Specialist Senior - Mineral County

The Transportation District/Division Supply Specialist Senior will report to the Equipment Parts section of the District 5 Equipment Shop. This position performs advanced level work in a district or division storeroom as a lead worker or supervisor. Position is responsible for the purchasing of inventory and of all equipment and supplies utilized by a district or division of the Division of Highways. Leads activities of storeroom personnel in the purchasing, receiving, shipping, storing, and recording of materials. May specialize in the most complex purchasing activities as distinguished from other storekeeper positions. Steps, processes, and methods are related within the job duties. Performs related duties as required.
 

Minimum Requirements

 

REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION 

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a stock clerk or, in a clerical capacity in connection with storeroom or warehouse operations, bookkeeping, accounting, timekeeping, purchasing, inventory work, or handling materials.
  • Substitution: Successful completion of coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience through an established formula.

 

Promotional Only: Six (6) years as an hourly transportation worker with the Division of Highways.
