Talent Acquisition and Outreach Analyst (AGPA)

The California Prison Industry Authority is looking for someone with a passion for sharing job opportunities, is creative, willing to explore new techniques to address recruitment challenges, and enjoys mitigating identified workforce gaps and risks. This position will provide a variety of tasks within the Human Resources field, gaining valuable experience and the opportunity to learn and grow. Hybrid telework options are available. When reporting to the office, parking is free and located near Historical Downtown Folsom, shops, eateries, walking trails, and Folsom Lake.

Under the direction of the SSMI, the Talent Acquisition and Outreach (TAO) Data Analyst assists in independently developing analysis tools and reports to assess California Prison Industry Authorities (CALPIA) recruitment strategies and staffing and attrition rates. The analyst will gather data from CalHR's ECOS system, surveys, and currently used CALPIA databases/platforms (i.e., Salesforce, PowerBI, or other) to analyze risks and gaps and make recommendations. This position will require occasional statewide travel to assist in training and attend recruitment events.

  • Experience assessing recruitment challenges and/or researching recruitment options to address challenges
  • Experience in the state hiring process, application process, exam process; utilizing CalHR website (class specs, pay scales, ECOS
  • Experience tracking due dates, monitoring status, and making recommendations to mitigate the challenges of this research
  • Experience analyzing workforce risks and gaps, and making recommendations
  • ECOS, SCO, Salesforce, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Survey Monkey, Microsoft Survey
  • Experience reviewing, tracking data, developing audit tools, and creating data-driven reports
