
Student Graphic Designer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment campaigns by creating and designing various communication materials, including social media content, flyers, posters, and promotional items.
- Craft content for Division of Student Affairs Housing social media (IG & TikTok).
- Uphold and enforce university branding through IU Indianapolis Housing and Residence Life marketing efforts.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite or other design programs to create visually appealing graphics.
- Interface with Loomly, Basecamp, and other IU Indianapolis-based project management platforms.
- Collaborate with Housing Operations, Facility Operations, and Residence Life to ensure effective communication from these units.
- Meet weekly with a direct supervisor for project review and development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Social media experience.
- Strong time management, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- IU Indianapolis student.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be in good academic and judicial standing.
- Minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA (or be a first-semester student).
- Must be available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, with some weekend or evening hours as business needs determine.
- Reliable personal transportation (to events, occasional office visits).
- Must have access to a personal laptop or computer.
- Must have access to adobe suite software.

Time Commitment
Must work about 10–20 hours per week but will not be scheduled for more than 20 hours per week regularly. Preference will be given to students available to extend their employment through the summer.
