TV Development Intern

FABEL ENTERTAINMENT - TV DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP

JOB DESCRIPTION

Interns will work closely with our team to learn the ins and outs of scripted television development and production. By tracking submissions and researching current programming and development, interns will come to understand what goes into developing compelling scripted content. Interns will also participate in project-based learning as they create grids, pitch decks, and provide script coverage, mirroring the development process.

Interns will also participate in mentorship-based learning targeted towards their desired career path, whether in development, production, or representation. Past Fabel interns have pivoted into additional internships and/or careers at CAA, UTA, WME, HBO, Fox, and many more.

Our interns assist with day-to-day operations of the company and provide input towards potential development. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Reading incoming material (scripts, books, graphic novels, podcasts, etc) and writing coverage
  • Updating project and tracking grids for potential writers, directors, and talent
  • Researching and pitching potential project ideas
  • Preparing additional development materials
  • Participating in bi-weekly lectures that cover different topics and areas of the industry as well as Q&A’s with writers and executives outside of the company

This internship is unpaid and for academic credit only. Start and end dates and internship hours are flexible to meet the needs and requirements of the student and university, but the program will run roughly from late-August to mid-December. Interns are expected to work roughly 10-12 hours per week.

This is a remote internship position, any student from any location is welcome to apply.

Please email your resume and cover letter to careers@fabelentertainment.com no later than August 2nd.
