Licensed Practical Nurse

Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a new medical provider on our integrated care team in Newton, Kansas. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and committed to providing high-quality care as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

As a vital member of our care team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you'll support the delivery of outpatient primary care in collaboration with physicians, behavioral health providers, and fellow nurses. Our model emphasizes whole-person, evidence-based care, allowing you to focus on quality rather than volume. You'll have the support and time to build meaningful connections and make a real impact in our community.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate and collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimum primary care
  • Create and contribute to patients' electronic medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Administer medications, and vaccinations and render treatment to all ages as ordered by a healthcare provider
  • Respond appropriately to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients, parents, or caregivers
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining a medical supply inventory

Qualifications

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Current unrestricted Kansas Nursing License
  • 1+ years' nursing experience, clinic or public health nursing preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Knowledge of public health preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of EMR
