Program Manager

Position Summary:

The Program Manager is a full-time position responsible for the coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of the Adult Life SkillsRetirementWork Services, and Community Integrated Employment programs for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in the Pratt region. This role ensures that all services are delivered in alignment with Arrowhead West’s mission and values, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a supportive environment for both clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Coordination

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned day service programs, ensuring services are person-centered and goal-oriented.
  • Develop, plan and coordinate activities, appointments & transportation schedules.
  • Ensure program and paperwork requirements and deadlines are accurately completed and met according to standards.
  • Coordinate vocational and community-based activities that promote independence and inclusion.
  • Assists in the development and coordination of a volunteer program.

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Recruit, hire, lead, train, recognize and supervise a team of Life Skills Instructors.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work culture.

Client Advocacy & Support

  • Ensure clients’ rights, dignity, and choices are respected and upheld.
  • Monitor client progress and satisfaction, adjusting services as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, families, employers, and community partners.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols and risk management procedures.

Community & Employer Engagement

  • Functions as a member of the Person Centered Support Plan (PCSP) team.
  • Follow Kansas Rehabilitation Services (KRS) requirements, submit reports and ensure KRS referrals are complemented prior to providing services to individuals seeking community integrated employment.
  • Conducts job readiness evaluations, job matches and placement, and follow-along support for individuals discharged from program.
  • Coordinates prevailing wage reports, time studies, bids & contracts.
  • Verifies accuracy of subcontract sales invoices.
  • Cultivate relationships with local businesses and community organizations to expand employment and volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. Degree may be waived with 5 years of Day Service experience including a minimum of 2 years at assistant management level.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centered planning, vocational rehabilitation, and community integration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
