Project Manager
We are located in southwest Broward County. We are a a manufacturer and distributor of vitamins, minerals, superfoods and supplements, and have been in business for 20 years. Our Mission is to favorably contribute to nutrition and health through development, production and marketing of nutritional supplements with the utmost in quality.
The company is looking for an experienced, multifaceted individual to function as a Project Manager at our facilities in Davie, FL.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Project Manager responsibilities include:
- Manage project execution to guarantee adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Identify and resolve problems to progress projects.
- Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
- Submit project updates and achievements to manager/supervisor.
- Assess the current or future needs and priorities of the company by communicating with team members or conducting taking surveys.
- Commence, evaluate, and make modifications to project plans.
- Schedule meetings with coworkers, managers/supervisors or vendors to assess the needs of the project and develop a plan of action.
- Develop implementation plans such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
- Identify the needs of project resources.
- Communicate with persons outside organization on behalf of the company, such as customers, the public, government, and other external sources
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job
- Use information and individual judgment to determine whether processes are compliant with laws, regulations, or standards.
The position requires working knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for office management for the nutraceutical industry, which include specific actions to be performed if material spills or other such workplace incidents should occur.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will:
- have experience in the pharmaceutical or neutriceutical manufacturing industry
- have very strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Chrome/IE, etc.)
- possess advanced Excel skills (sorting, math, index/match or vlookup, pivot tables)
- type quickly and accurately (70+ WPM)
- have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Spanish
- have higher than average Common Sense and Critical Thinking Skills
- have higher than average Inductive and Deductive reasoning abilities
- be a hard worker (willing to do what it takes to get the job done)
- have a very high drive and sense of ownership of their responsibilities
- be the kind of person who independently fixes issues when necessary
- be a quick learner, particularly with software necessary to do the job (NetSuite.com for example)
- works well in an unstructured, ad-hoc environment where multiple task requests need to be prioritized and worked in quick succession or even in parallel
- has experience working in a small to medium-size family-owned business
