Social Media Outreach Intern

Overview:
College Coaches Showcase Camp has been running one-day camps and showcases for over 20 years. Currently, we host events in Baseball, Softball, Football, Flag Football, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, and Men's Lacrosse. We are looking for motivated, organized, and outgoing students who are interested in digital outreach, social media engagement, and sports event marketing and operations. This internship is paid and will pay $1000. Half of the $1000 will be paid halfway through the internship, and the final payment will come after completion of the internship.

Job Description:
The Marketing Operations Intern will play a key role in driving event registrations by identifying and messaging potential participants, organizations, and families through social media. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people online, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable using social media to promote events. The intern will work closely with the operations and social media teams to ensure messaging is clear, timely, and consistent.

Responsibilities:

Outreach & Communication

  • Identify and engage with individuals who have expressed interest in events via Facebook and other platforms, like X/Twitter.
  • Use approved templates to send direct messages and follow-up messages to interested participants
  • Track and organize outreach efforts in a shared system (e.g., spreadsheet or CRM)
  • Answer basic questions about upcoming events and direct more complex inquiries to full-time staff
  • Support efforts to boost registration through proactive outreach campaigns

Social Media Support

  • Assist in managing event pages, groups, and comments across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, and other platforms
  • Monitor and respond to messages and comments in a timely, professional manner
  • Help maintain a friendly and helpful online presence across our brand channels
  • Help generate ideas and assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Assist with other operational tasks
  • Provide feedback on outreach effectiveness and suggest improvements

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter and general social media platforms
  • Strong written communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with access to a laptop or computer
  • Ability to attend a weekly meeting
  • Attention to detail, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Interest in sports or event marketing is a plus
  • 5–10 hours per week expected
