Department Chairperson for Nursing
Miami Dade College (MDC) is seeking an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Department Chairperson for Nursing at Medical Campus. What you will be doing:
- Provide leadership for the Nursing department, ensuring program excellence and growth.
- Oversee faculty hiring, professional development, and performance evaluation.
Develop and revise curriculum to maintain alignment with state, national, and accreditation standards. - Coordinate clinical rotations and build partnerships with healthcare institutions.
- Monitor student outcomes and implement strategies for retention and graduation success.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements.
What you need to succeed:
- Florida Licensed Registered Nurse or eligibility as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a master’s degree in nursing with at least five (5) years of experience in nursing, including administrative, clinical, and/or teaching experience. Industry experience may include healthcare leadership, clinical practice, hospital administration, or policy development. All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Expertise in maintaining compliance with industry regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance measures.
- Proven ability to oversee personnel, financial resources, and operational strategies for organizational success.
- Extensive experience forging collaborations with industry leaders, community partners, and professional organizations.
- Strong leadership, strategic communication, and critical-thinking skills to drive innovation and efficiency.
