Public Radio 90 Student Board Operator/Announcer (Summer/Fall)

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Running the broadcast board, announcing (segues, newscasts, weather, etc.) and logging / following FCC regulations
  • Transmitter meter readings
  • EAS tests and logging
  • Promotional production / other productions as needed
  • Assist engineers with equipment and software maintenance
  • Assist on-and-off the air during fundraising periods
  • Work on-and-off the air in a professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Reliable
  • Communicative / Proactive
  • Enrolled at NMU
  • Expected graduation more than a year away
  • If already employed at NMU, can still fit WNMU-FM into a 24-hour workweek
  • Availability for holidays, summer, and semester breaks
  • Availability for evenings and weekends
  • Ability to speak clearly
