About i-SIGMA:
The International Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA) is the premier global trade association for companies providing secure information lifecycle management services. We support our members through advocacy, certification, best practices, and resources that strengthen the secure data destruction and information governance industries.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Marketing Communications Intern to support key marketing initiatives, member engagement efforts, and content development activities. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in association marketing, social media management, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Curation & Document Editing
- Research and curate relevant industry content for digital dissemination (social media, website, newsletters).
- Edit and proofread marketing materials, publications, and member communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with i-SIGMA’s brand voice.
Member Engagement & Feature Development
- Coordinate and compile Member Spotlights for the IG Journal (i-SIGMA’s member publication) across the calendar year.
- Conduct outreach to members, gather submissions, and develop engaging member feature stories.
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Assist in creating and scheduling content for i-SIGMA’s Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, highlighting member stories, association initiatives, certifications, and events.
- Develop creative visual assets (e.g., reels, stories, carousels, videos) aligned with current social media trends.
- Maintain a social media content calendar and collaborate on strategies to increase member engagement.
Marketing Support
- Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives aimed at member retention, growth, and brand awareness.
- Track social media and digital engagement metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn; experience with design tools (such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- A creative mindset and eagerness to contribute ideas and learn within a collaborative team environment.
- Interest in B2B marketing, association management, or the information governance sector is advantageous.
