
Economic Development Fall Internship

Hours: 12-15 hours/week
Location: Richburg, South Carolina (3200 Commerce Drive, Suite B, Richburg SC, 29729); hybrid one day/week.

Job Description:
CCED is looking for a fall intern to assist with marketing, economic research, and community engagement. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in marketing, economic development, economics, business administration, real estate, or related fields.
Specific Duties:
- Supports marketing efforts, including creating content for reports, presentations, social media and CCED’s website.
- Maintains real estate database.
- Assists with coordinating special events, meetings or prospect visits.
- Assists with RFIs (request for information) and other related research requests.
- Participates in/coordinates site visits and business retention and expansion (BRE) initiatives.
- Assist in researching industry trends.
- Performs other related work as required and assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business Administration, Economics, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong interest in learning about economic development and community development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to contribute to a variety of projects.
