Legal Assistant – Probate and Trust Administration
Qualifications and Skills
MUST HAVE A minimum of 3 years previous LEGAL SECRETARIAL experience.
Probate and Trust Administration Experience: Must have previous experience with probate court and trust administration.
Estate Planning Experience: Knowledge of Estate Planning and/or HotDocs Document Automation Software a plus.
Candidate shall have computer proficiency along with exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Candidate must also be proficient in typing, a problem-solver, work with a sense of urgency, excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to meet with clients, and have a strong attention to detail.
Other Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Friendly rapport and willingness to address client issues in a friendly manner
- Excellent editing and formatting skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment
The position responsibilities include:
- Maintaining calendars, client appointments, and due dates
- Preparing correspondence, probate court documents, estate planning documents, and other legal documents
- Significant interaction with firm clients, potential clients, court staff and others
- Preparing and organizing client files
- Conveying and obtaining necessary information to and from clients and others on behalf of supervising attorney(s)

Hours: Flexible between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
