Student Recruitment Specialist (Campus Tour Guide)

Looking for a meaningful, on-campus job that builds your leadership, communication, and public speaking skills? As a Student Recruitment Specialist (Campus Tour Guide), you’ll play a key role in welcoming future Broncos and shaping their first impression of Boise State University.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for prospective students and their families - leading campus tours, helping with large-scale recruitment events, and sharing what life is really like as a Bronco. You’ll be part of a fun, passionate, and supportive team that works hard and celebrates each other’s successes.

Main Responsibilities
What you’ll do:

  • Lead engaging and informative campus tours for prospective students and guests
  • Support large-scale Admissions events like Bronco Day and Discover Boise State
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Represent Boise State with professionalism, positivity, and pride

Job Details

  • Compensation: $12.50 per hour
  • Hours: 8–20 hours per week
    • Must be available to work occasional Saturdays (about once a month)
    • Shifts are typically from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm, Monday-Friday

Minimum Requirements
We’re looking for students who:

  • Are passionate about Boise State and excited to share their college journey
  • Have strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Can balance multiple tasks and adapt to new situations with ease
  • Thrive in both team environments and independent work
  • Are open to learning, growing, and receiving feedback
  • Show up with professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Are in good conduct standing with the university
  • Are physically able to lead walking tours (~2 miles) in various weather
