Position Overview:
The Financial Technology Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to work on developing workflow automation and reporting solutions to address key business challenges. Working closely with the operations team, you will take on the development of solutions using tools such as SQL, APIs, SharePoint, Dataverse, and the Power Platform. The role involves assisting in automating reporting processes, enhancing workflows, and documenting technical details to ensure transparency and continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom solutions using Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Dataverse)
- Apply in-depth SQL knowledge to support the automation of reporting and data analysis processes.
- Assist in the development and integration of APIs to enable seamless data flow and system connectivity, ensuring solutions are efficient, secure, and well-documented.
Conduct thorough documentation of current processes, designed processes, and implemented solutions to ensure clarity and continuity. - Work independently to manage projects from conception to completion under limited supervision, while maintaining open lines of communication for feedback and guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the developed solutions.
- Ensure all developments align with the firm’s data governance and compliance standards.
- Prepare and project updates, results, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of SQL.
- Prior experience working with APIs is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation and technical writing.
- Interest in financial technology and investment management is a plus.
